Tonight I’m doing what may be my favorite event of my book tour — certainly it’s in the top 3. I’m hosting a panel discussion about female television writers (one of my pet topics, obviously) with Mary Tyler Moore Show writer Treva Silverman (a major inspiration in writing Mary and Lou and Rhoda and Ted), Eileen Myers (Hung, Big Love, Last Resort), Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin (Greek, The Carrie Diaries). And we’ll be at my favorite book store in LA, Book Soup. We’ll talk sexist moments, favorite female characters, comedy versus drama, and more. See you at 7 p.m., Angelenos!
